Thinking of Hamburg, romance doesn’t click straight to mind first – the wide, open spaces and the waters are a calming and wonderful background for lovely hours for two. Even if the city is more known for the great nightlife in the pubs and bars of Reeperbahn – The most sinful mile, there are many places in Hamburg where you can spend a romantic evening with your partner. Hamburg has more canals than Venice and a boat trip on these waterways is sure to get you in a pleasant mood, going through the harbor is too a great experience for the couple. Several suppliers near the Landungsbruken S-Bahn nad U-Bahn station provide transportation for you and your loved one to travel through the canals of Speicherstadt, to the town hall and back again to the port. On warm, sunny days you can row and paddle all you want on the water and even throw out some bread for the ducks. You can easily rent out a boat as there are several rentals around, mostly near the Jungfernstieg stop. In winter, when the cold winds strike in full force, the Alster freezes over and it becomes one of the biggest ice rinks in the whole city, where you can ice skate all you want with your lover and have a lovely romantic moment, snowflakes falling all around. Another nice way to keep things interesting is to visit a restaurant and eat all you want. Haerlin is a gourmet French cuisine diner. Fresh flowers and a candle-lit dinner will for sure get her happy and a romantic environment will arise. The food is freshly made and you can choose from the menu with seasonal products. Everything is perfect here, first-class delicacies await you, from the breadbasket to the sweet-savory macarons.
